Canoes and Kayaks

What is the difference between a canoe and a kayak?

Put simply the difference lies in the paddle and the position of the paddler. If you choose a canoe you will kneel or sit on a bench with a single bladed paddle. If you choose a kayak you will generally be seated, legs outstretched with a double bladed paddle.

It’s also about paddle technique. Whichever you chose, the important thing is to get out on the water and enjoy yourself!

We welcome beginners, seasoned pros and everyone in between. You can bring your own kit and pay to launch your craft, book on a course or simply hire all the equipment from us.
